4:00p.m. Hunter Water crews continue to monitor the network as water supply is restored

Hunter Water’s crews continue to monitor our network closely and are responding to ensure it remains safe and secure, as heavy rain and strong winds persist across the region.

Water supply has been restored to all customers, with some areas experiencing lower than normal water pressure, including Medowie and Raymond Terrace. If customers experience ongoing issues, they can call our 24/7 team on 1300 657 000.

Our crews will also be working around the clock and over the weekend to ensure we continue to provide safe, high quality drinking water.

The power outages, combined with heavy rain, has created wastewater overflows in many catchments. We advise people to avoid swimming in local beaches and waterways for at least two days after all power is restored and the wastewater network returns to normal operating conditions.

We will provide a further update regarding swimming advice on Monday for the week ahead.
