Why your water usage may be higher?

Water use tends to increase over the warmer months. Remember to compare your bill with the same time as last year, rather than with your previous one.

Having extra visitors stay often means more water consumption around the home.

These systems can often be the forgotten source of water in many homes as they are 'out of sight, out of mind'. Automatic systems are the most common reason for unexpected water use, especially if they are programmed to turn on overnight.

Adding extra water to your pool to keep it at a certain level for use can considerably increase your water bill, especially if you do this frequently.

This requires a vast amount of water to create the desired pressure for cleaning.

Keeping the car clean can often mean excessive water use.

You can always check your water meter reading dial directly on your water meter, and if it does not match with your most recent bill, please contact us.

Remember, the reading on the dial of your water meter should be slightly higher that the reading on your bill should as we don't read and bill on the same day.

Taps left running or dripping unknowingly in an unused area may contribute to higher water usage.

Recently installed or changes in appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, fridges with cold water.

Leaking toilet cisterns or a leaking hot water services (including solar).
