Hunter Water Regulation 2015 remake

Share your feedback

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking feedback on changes to the proposed Hunter Water Regulation 2015.

The Hunter Water Regulation 2015 is a statutory instrument under the Hunter Water Act 1991 and is used to regulate activities in the catchment areas and water storages, compliance with plumbing and drainage standards, protection of Hunter Water works or property or assets, and implementation of water restrictions. The regulation supports effective, efficient and prudent operations of Hunter Water in delivering its services to the community.

The Hunter Water Regulation 2015 is due for repeal on 1 September 2024 unless it is remade. The Department and Hunter Water propose to remake the existing regulation with amendments as the Hunter Water Regulation 2024 (the Regulation).

The draft Regulation will be on public exhibition from Monday 24 June 2024 to 11.59pm Sunday 14 July 2024.
