Cameron Park Reservoir
Project overview
We are building a new reservoir with linked water mains and connection points at Cameron Park. The new facility will provide increased water capacity to service the area’s growing population.
This project highlights our ongoing investment to keep up with growth and deliver improved services across the region.
The new reservoir will be situated on the corner of Cameron Park Drive and George Booth Drive, within land owned by Hunter Water.
Construction of the reservoir and new connecting water mains is planned to start in early 2023 and is expected to take around two years to complete.
The existing reservoir at West Wallsend will be decommissioned after the new reservoir is built.
We placed the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) on display for comment from Monday 12 September to Sunday 9 October 2022 (28 days).
