Our community engagement strategy
Our goal is to establish a continuing conversation that will enable us to become a valued partner in delivering the aspirations of our region.
Have your say on our community engagement platform, where together we can make better decisions to shape our region’s water future.
Our goal is to establish a continuing conversation that will enable us to become a valued partner in delivering the aspirations of our region.
We are working closely with those who are impacted by the decisions we make – including our customers, communities, stakeholders and advocacy groups.
We partner with diverse groups in the community to deliver projects and programs that promote understanding, conversation and action over time.
We have received planning approval for the possible construction of a desalination plant at Belmont.
The Lower Hunter Water Security Plan was released by the NSW Government in April 2022, setting the region up for economic prosperity and underpinning growth, liveability and quality of life.
Understanding what our community values will inform our decisions around supply (where we get water from) and demand (how we use the water we have) options, and guide how we respond to drought.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan is our commitment to move to a place of equity, justice and partnership together.
