Moving water around the Lower Hunter
It takes 4,944 km of pipes, 98 pumping stations and 79 reservoirs to transport 68 billion litres of water to our customers each year.
Hunter Water also supplies a small volume of bulk treated water to Midcoast Water customers in Karuah and can supply and receive bulk treated water from Central Coast Council.
Ensuring we provide a reliable and safe supply of water to our customers is our greatest priority. We have multiple controls in place to ensure our drinking water meets the highest standards, as set out in the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
