Children in Years 3 and 4 are invited to come to the Kooragang Island Recycled Water Plant at Mayfield where Hunter Water has purpose built our Centre for Education.
The Stage 2 Science and Geography program teaches children about the water cycle, catchments, how water gets from the sky to our taps, how waste water is managed, ways in which we can save water by following our Water Wise Rules and the health benefits of drinking water. Time is allocated during the excursion for students to participate in experiments and activities to reinforce their learning.
Hunter Water provides this program free of charge to schools however the school does need to provide their own transport to and from the centre. Registration for this program can be made through the link below. Register now as places are limited.
Please contact Hunter Water's Education Coordinator if you have any questions.
