Clear Water Tank for Dungog Treatment

The new $12 million clear water tank next to Dungog Water Treatment Plant was completed in June 2011.

With a 30 million litre storage capacity, the new tank holds up to six hours of treated water in the case of a plant shutdown, providing greater reserves of treated water for our customers living in Dungog, Cessnock, Maitland and Newcastle.

The upgrade marks a significant boost to the treated water reserves for residents in these towns, having increased the plant's storage capacity up to five times.
