Our Recruitment Process

Hunter Water is committed to attracting and retaining high calibre staff through the application of the merit principle encompassing ethical and transparent recruitment and selection processes. In this way we adhere to the requirements of the New South Wales Anti-Discrimination and Equal Employment Opportunity laws.

We appoint the most suitable candidate to fill a resource requirement, taking into consideration relevant qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, attitude and behaviours that have been identified as necessary to perform the role. Strict confidentiality is observed throughout the recruitment process.

We apply the values of impartiality, competition, openness, integrity, and accountability as underpinning ethical recruitment and selection. The recruitment values are supported by Hunter Water's core behaviours of Customer Service, Team Work, Adaptability, and Reliability & Accountability.
