WSAA Codes Publication
Hunter Water has been actively looking at practical ways to update its design practices and standards. In line with other major Australian water authorities including Sydney Water, City West Water, Yarra Valley Water and South East Water, Hunter Water has now developed integrated editions of the WSAA Sewerage Code of Australia and the WSAA Water Supply Code of Australia. The two new design Codes, once implemented will essentially replace the existing Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the current Hunter Water Design Manual.
The WSAA Water Supply and Sewerage Codes have been adapted for use in Hunter Water's area of operations. Hunter Water, in conjunction with WSAA, has developed integrated editions of both design Codes. Integrated editions read like the original WSAA Codes but have markers or labels (similar to track changes) indicating that the WSAA standard has been modified or added to in some way.
From 1 January 2010, all servicing strategy, concept and detail design projects for water supply and/or gravity sewerage network infrastructure must be completed in accordance with the new Hunter Water Edition of the WSAA Water Supply and Sewerage Codes.
